Details

You will get pick up by 8.00 - 8.30 a.m. from the hotel or the guesthouse where you stay. After a picturesque drive through the countryside of Northern Thailand, your full day trekking tour will begin with a walk around an orchid and butterfly farm that is home to many species unique to Thailand.
Then we are heading to the elephant camp. Here we will spend time about 1-1.30 hrs with the elephant. We will get information about elephant. The guide will show you the basic how to get on, how to control, how to riding and feeding. You will take photos with elephants. After that take elephant to the river to enjoy bath and brush your elephant.

# Remark: Our elephants have the good health, without chain and hook. They are freedom and happiness. We do not use elephants to work or perform. And we enforce a strict NO Riding policy.
 

We will relax and have lunch at the elephant camp. Later on we will do about 1 hr trekking through the beautiful jungle to waterfall, where we can take a rest, relax and swim. You can look forward to seeing various wildlife and plant species during the hike along the scenic nature trail.   
We will visit Lahu hill tribe on the way of the walk.  After that we will short drive to the rafting camp and we will visit Lisu hill tribe village on the way. At the end of the tour we will get experience on bamboo rafting for about 1 hour along the Mae Tang River. After you get wet you can shower or change cloth and then we return and arriving to Chiang Mai around 5.30 p.m.

Itienarary

  • Pickup will be between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM
  • Drive for 30minutes and Visit an orchid and butterfly farm.
  • Arrive at Elephant Camp and spend time with elephant while feeding, bathig.
  • Have lunch
  • Hike through the jungle for approximately 1hr to the waterfall
  • Relax and swim at the waterfall
  • Visit Lahu and Lisu hill tribe village
  • bamboo rafting
  • Drive back to Chiangmai at 5.30 pm.

Pick-up time could be late due to traffic.

This is a great alternative trek to those who do not want to ride elephants but want to experience as many as possible in the nature in one day ! Experience the most scenic areas in Northern Thailand during this unique trek. If you have a few days in Chiang Mai, this is highly recommended tour which all interest activities are included as well as elephant bath. You will do trekking, swimming at water fall, elephant bath and bamboo rafting.

What to bring / What to wear

  • Comfortable Walking shoes, Sandal Short pants,
  • Mosquito repellent, Sun hat, sun screen, Swim wear, Towel
  • Clothes (long & short sleeves), A light raincoat or poncho  
     From November to March it is a little cold in Chiang Mai in the mornings, so please bring something to keepyourself warm until the day heats up. From May to October it is the rainy season in Thailand so please bring a raincoat and/or a change of clothes.
  • Drinking water, a small amount of cash to buy water, snacks, and souvenirs during the trek.

Additional Information
The temperatures during the day are quite hot throughout the year and the sun is burning mercilessly down at you. You should bring a large drinking water bottle and you must protect your skin from sunburn. During the day it is best to wear long trousers and a shirt with long sleeves. Also you should wear a hat. (Thais usually cover every part of their body with clothes if they have to remain in the sun for long.) During rainy season, from August to November, a rain coat or poncho may be appropriate.
While bamboo rafting you will become a little wet. It is best to wear shorts and sandals (if you have) while rafting.
