Day 1
You will get pick up from your Chiang Mai hotel or guest house and drive through the countryside towards the Mae Tang area. On route we will stop by at the orchid and butterfly farm where you can see the colorful Thai orchids and butterfly species. Next you’ll refuel with a local Thai lunch at a Shan village before beginning your hike into the jungle.

Let’s start Hiking up to a picturesque Black Lahu village situated on a mountain top. Depending on your pace, the trek will last roughly two and a half hours. Along the nature trail you can expect to find a wide variety of tropical plants, flowers, and tiny creatures. On route we will take a break at a small jungle waterfall. The Lahu village will be the destination for the night where you can spend the rest of the evening, kick back and relax after the days trek, relaxing with your fellow trekkers over a few drinks.

Day 2
Have breakfast in refreshingly cool of the hills. Then start the second day’s trekking towards the waterfall. Trekking time will be around 2 hours through jungle, rice paddies and rural scenes to the waterfall camp. Have lunch at waterfall camp then we will hike for another hour to a jungle camp where we will stay overnight.

Day 3
After breakfast we will hike through the jungle (about 2h) to a waterfall and take a break. Then we will hike through the jungle and hill tribe farmland in the foothills to the elephant camp for 40minutes. There we will make an elephant ride through the jungle or feeding and bathing for about half an hour and have lunch. After lunch it will be time to proceed to the river for the white water rafting trip. You will get to raft around 5km of some great rapids (the best an biggest rapids can usually be found in the wetter months between may and November) but the rafting is still fun all year round. The river calms in the lower stretches and here will change to bamboo rafts where you can kick back and relax while the great scenery passes you by or feel free to pick up a pole and try piloting the raft yourself!

We will be back in Chiang Mai at about 17:00 hours.
